1. What Is Spiritual Healing and How Does It Actually Work?
There are times when life looks perfectly normal from the outside, yet inside you know you are not quite yourself. You may be tired in a way that sleep does not seem to touch, carrying feelings you have pushed aside because there was always something else to deal with, or simply sensing that you have become a little distant from yourself.
For many people, that quiet sense of disconnection is where an interest in spiritual healing begins. You do not need to arrive with a particular belief or a clear explanation. Sometimes you simply know that you would like to feel more settled, understand what is happening within you, and find your way back to yourself.
When I talk about spiritual healing, I am not talking about fixing you or turning you into somebody different. I see it as creating a space where you can reconnect with the person who is already there beneath the noise, expectations, old patterns and everything life has asked you to carry. That understanding sits at the heart of 6R Ascension.
A healing session gives us time to slow things down. We can become so used to caring for other people, getting through the day and keeping everything moving that we stop hearing ourselves. In a quieter space, you may begin to notice what you have been holding, what no longer feels right, or what your intuition has been trying to bring to your attention.
You might arrive not really knowing what you need, and that is completely okay. You do not have to come with the right words or even understand what is going on for you. Sometimes you just know that something does not feel quite right, and that is enough of a place to begin. We can take it from there, together.
I value the simple act of pausing. Not because every pause has to produce an answer, but because there are moments when we need somewhere we are not expected to perform, explain or look after anybody else. During a session, I want you to feel that you can settle into the space and simply be where you are.
Depending on the healing approach, I may work through gentle touch or with the energy around the body. I will explain what we are doing, and you remain part of the process throughout. There is nothing you need to make happen and no particular feeling you need to achieve.
People experience healing differently. You may notice warmth, a sense of relaxation, emotions, memories or simply a little more quiet inside. You may notice very little during the session and become aware of something later. I do not want you measuring your experience against anybody else’s. What matters is how it feels for you.
When we have been holding ourselves together for a long time, slowing down can sometimes allow emotions to come forward. If you feel tearful, we can let that be there. If a memory appears, we can give it room. And if you cannot explain why you feel emotional, you do not have to find an answer immediately.
I am not there to tell you what your experience means. I am there to listen, hold the space and walk beside you while you reconnect with your own inner wisdom. I believe we often know more within ourselves than we realise; sometimes we simply need enough safety and quiet to hear it.
No. Spiritual healing is a complementary practice and should never replace appropriate medical or psychological care. If you have a health concern, please seek and continue the professional support you need.
For me, there should be room for everything you need — medical care, emotional support, spiritual exploration and your own inner wisdom. These are not competing choices. Your wellbeing comes first, and spiritual healing can sit alongside the other care and support that is right for you.
Not at all. You may have a spiritual practice already, or you may be exploring this part of yourself for the first time. You may have questions, doubts or no particular belief at all. I would much rather you come honestly than feel you need to believe something because you think you are supposed to.
We begin with where you are. You can be curious, uncertain, open, sceptical or somewhere in between. There is room for all of that.
The word “healing” can sound as though something in you is broken and needs to be repaired. That is not how I see you, and it is not how I approach this work. Life leaves its marks on all of us. We carry grief, fear, expectations, relationships and experiences that can shape the way we see ourselves and the choices we make.
For me, the work is about recognising what is there with honesty and compassion, releasing what no longer serves you, restoring a little balance and reconnecting with the part of you that may have become difficult to hear. From there, we can rebuild in a way that feels true to you. That is the heart of the 6R Ascension journey: Recognize, Release, Restore, Reconnect, Rebuild and, in your own time, Radiate.
One of the things I have learned through this work is that people often arrive thinking they need an answer, when what they really need first is somewhere they can exhale. Somewhere they can be heard without being hurried. For me, that is where healing begins.
You do not need to rush this. Healing is not a race and it does not unfold in a neat straight line. If you feel drawn to explore spiritual healing, we can begin with a conversation. You can come exactly as you are, and we will take the next step from there at a pace that feels right for you.
With Love and Light,
Reena
2. 5 Signs You Might Be Energetically Drained — and What Your Energy May Be Asking For
Sometimes tiredness has an obvious reason. We have not slept enough, life has been busy, or our body simply needs rest. But there is another kind of tiredness that can be harder to put into words. You may be sleeping and still feel depleted, becoming overwhelmed by things you would normally manage, or giving so much of yourself to everyone around you that you quietly wonder where you have gone in all of it.
When I hear someone describe that feeling, I do not immediately think they need another routine or another thing to work on. Often, I wonder whether something inside is asking for less noise, a little more space, and a chance to be listened to.
1. You are tired, even when you have rested
There are many reasons for ongoing tiredness, so if you are concerned about your health, please speak with an appropriate healthcare professional. Alongside that, it can also be worth noticing what you have been carrying emotionally. Perhaps you have been keeping everything moving, worrying about the same thing for weeks, supporting other people, or putting your own feelings to one side because there never seemed to be a good time for them.
What might help?
Instead of turning rest into another task to get right, notice what actually restores you. It may be a quiet walk, a cup of tea without your phone, music, nature, prayer, meditation or ten minutes when nobody needs anything from you. There is no perfect practice here. I would simply invite you to notice what helps you feel a little more like yourself.
2. Small things are beginning to feel very big
When we are already stretched, something small can suddenly feel enormous. An email, a delay or a change of plan may be the thing that tips us into tears or irritation. Then, very often, we judge ourselves for reacting.
What might help?
Before you make yourself wrong for it, consider that your reaction may be giving you information. Perhaps there simply is not much room left. For a while, see what you can make simpler. You do not have to answer everything immediately or say yes because somebody has asked. A kind boundary can be an act of care, not rejection.
3. You feel disconnected — from other people, or from yourself
This can be difficult to explain because life may still be carrying on as normal. You are doing what needs to be done, but you do not feel fully present in it. Things that once brought joy may feel flat, conversations may feel tiring, or you may have the strange sense that you have become distant from your own life.
What might help?
Come back gently. Take a walk without making it an achievement. Sit somewhere you feel calm. Spend time with someone who lets you be yourself. When there is a little quiet, ask yourself what you need and do not worry if an answer does not come immediately. Inner wisdom is not always loud. Sometimes it is the small feeling we notice only when everything else becomes quiet enough.
4. You are always giving, and rarely allowing yourself to receive
Perhaps you are the person everyone turns to. You listen, remember, organise, reassure and help, often without thinking twice about it. There is love in that, but if you are always the one giving, receiving can begin to feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable.
What might help?
Notice where you may be giving more than you really have available. Is there something you could say no to? Could you let someone help you without immediately trying to return the favour? Could you take an hour for yourself without explaining or justifying it? You matter within the life you are caring for too.
5. Your body seems to be holding on to tension
Our bodies sometimes make us aware that we have been carrying too much. You may notice tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, a knot in your stomach or that feeling of never quite being able to settle. Persistent or concerning physical symptoms should always be properly assessed, but alongside that care, you might also become curious about whether you have had much space to soften emotionally.
What might help?
Gentle movement, slower breathing, time outdoors and real rest can all help create that space. For some people, energy work is another way of pausing for a while — not because they need to be fixed, but because they need somewhere they do not have to hold everything together.
Protecting your energy is not about shutting the world out
I do not see protecting your energy as shutting people out or trying to control everything around you. Life will always bring things we cannot manage. For me, it is more about knowing yourself well enough to notice when you have had enough, what nourishes you, what leaves you depleted and when something no longer feels right. Then, little by little, learning to trust what you notice.
Give yourself a slower beginning and ending to the day
Before you enter everybody else’s world through your phone in the morning, give yourself a few moments to arrive in your own. At the end of the day, allow things to settle before asking yourself to do one more thing. These do not have to become rules. They are simply small ways of remembering yourself.
Notice what refills you
Notice the ordinary things that bring you back to yourself. Walking, nature, music, creativity, stillness, prayer, laughter, a particular person, or some time alone. What nourishes you does not have to look spiritual or impressive. It only needs to be true for you.
Let rest be part of your life, not a reward for surviving it
Rest does not have to be the prize you receive once you have completely exhausted yourself. It can be part of the way you care for yourself along the way, just as naturally as you care for the people you love.
Perhaps your energy is asking you to come back to yourself
When we feel depleted, our instinct can be to search for something else to add — another routine, another practice, another way to improve ourselves. Sometimes I think a kinder question is, “What am I ready to put down?” It may be an expectation, a responsibility that was never really yours, or the belief that you should be coping better than you are.
I see this so often: we keep going because we can, and only later realise how much of ourselves we have been giving away in the process. Coming back to yourself does not need to be dramatic. Sometimes it begins with noticing that you are tired and allowing that truth to matter.
Healing is often much quieter than we imagine. It can be an honest conversation, a boundary, a walk, tears you finally allow yourself to have, or an hour where somebody else holds the space for you. You do not have to wait until you are empty before you reach out. If something here feels familiar, listen to it without rushing. You do not need the whole path today. We can begin with the next step.
With Love and Light,
Reena
3. What to Expect in Your First Spiritual Healing Session
If spiritual healing is new to you, it is natural to have questions. You may be curious, a little nervous, or wondering whether you are supposed to feel something particular. You might even be thinking, “What if I do not know what to do?”
You do not need to know. There is no special way you have to prepare and no perfect reason for coming. You can arrive with a clear intention, a lot of questions, or simply the feeling that you need some space. We can begin there.
Before you arrive
Wear something comfortable and, if you can, leave yourself a little breathing room around the appointment. I would rather you arrive as you are than feel you have to prepare yourself in some special spiritual way.
At the beginning, I will invite you to tell me a little about what has brought you. You may know exactly what you want support with, or you may find it difficult to put into words. Share only what feels comfortable. I am not looking for the perfect explanation; I am getting to know you and what you need from the space.
We begin with a conversation
For me, healing begins with connection. Before we do anything else, I want you to feel comfortable with me and able to ask whatever you need to ask. We can talk about what has been happening, what you hope for, or simply how you are feeling that day. If you are nervous, you can tell me. If you do not know what to say, that is fine too.
There is no pressure to make anything happen. We begin with you, exactly where you are.
You remain in control
This matters deeply to me: you remain in control of your experience. Nothing should happen without your consent. If you are uncomfortable, tell me. If you want to pause, we pause. Feeling safe, respected and heard is part of the healing space, not something separate from it.
What happens during the healing?
Once you feel settled, we can begin the healing. Depending on the approach, I may use gentle touch or work with the energy around the body. I will explain what I am doing, and there is nothing you need to concentrate on or get right. You do not even have to try hard to relax. We simply allow the session to unfold from where you are.
What might you experience?
Everyone experiences healing differently. You may notice warmth, tingling, emotion, memories, a sense of calm or simply that your mind has become quieter. You may notice very little during the session and recognise something afterwards. I do not want you looking for the experience you think you are supposed to have.
Your session belongs to you. A quiet experience is not a lesser one, and nothing dramatic has to happen for the time to have value. Sometimes what matters most is simply having an hour where you are not responsible for anybody else.
If emotions come up
When we become still, feelings we have been too busy to notice can sometimes come forward. If you feel tearful, there is nothing to apologise for. If a memory appears, we can give it space. You do not have to explain or understand everything while it is happening.
I will stay with you calmly and without judgement. I am not there to interpret your emotions for you. I am there to support you while you listen to what feels true within yourself.
After the session
When the session ends, I like to leave a little room for you to come back into the day rather than feeling rushed out of the experience. If you can, keep things gentle afterwards. Have some water, take a walk, sit quietly or simply notice how you feel.
You may feel peaceful, lighter, tired, emotional or simply much the same as before. There is no response you need to manufacture. Sometimes something becomes clearer later, and sometimes the gift of the session was simply the pause itself.
Do I need to believe in spiritual healing?
No. You may already feel deeply connected to spirituality, or you may be completely new to it. You may have doubts or questions. I would much rather you bring those honestly than feel you have to agree with something in order to be welcome here.
What if I do not feel anything?
Then that is your experience, and there is nothing you have failed to do. Spiritual healing is not a test. Some people notice clear sensations and others simply enjoy the stillness. We do not need to turn your session into somebody else’s story or search for proof that something happened.
There is nothing you need to fix
This is at the centre of my work: I do not see you as somebody who needs to be fixed. Healing, for me, is about coming back into relationship with yourself — recognising what you have been carrying, meeting it with compassion and reconnecting with the part of you that may have become lost beneath everything else.
That is where the 6R Ascension journey comes from. We Recognize what is happening, Release what no longer serves us, Restore balance, Reconnect with inner wisdom, Rebuild from a place that feels more true, and in time, Radiate from that place. It is not a rigid formula and it will not look the same for everyone. I walk beside you, but the journey remains yours.
A gentle first step
Your first session does not need to be a life-changing moment. It can simply be a beginning: a little time to breathe, to be listened to and to hear yourself without the usual noise around you.
You might arrive not really knowing what you need, and that is completely okay. You do not have to come with the right words or even understand what is going on for you. Sometimes you just know that something does not feel quite right, and that is enough of a place to begin. We can take it from there, together.
If you feel drawn to explore healing, you are welcome to come as you are. We can begin with a conversation and see what feels right for you. There is no expectation to have the answers, and no need to become anything other than who you already are. I will meet you there and walk beside you, calmly and honestly, at your pace.
With Love and Light,
Reena
